The 4th Salone del Mobile.Milano Shangai has ended the cycle of the 2019 international furniture expo that hosted 127 brands visited by over 20,000 people. This demonstrates the value of a production line that is able to win the challenges of international markets especially like China, to further strengthen the cultural and commercial partnerships between Italy and China.
In 2018, Italy ranked as the top furniture supplier for the Chinese market, involving 517 million euro, a share of 23.4% of the overall importation, and an increase of 10% compared to the previous year. This year, the ICE data further consolidates its leading position among the foreign suppliers with an increase of 4.63% of the 404 million euro from January to September 2019, while Germany lost 17.13%.
In line with Milan and Moscow, the offer of this Furniture Expo has also confirmed greater attention to contemporary styles, with two-thirds of the companies participating in the Design category (products expressing functionality, innovation and a clear stylistic feature) and a third of the brands in the xLux category (products midway between classic elegance and modern esthetics).
In this scenario, Daytona has established a new approval rating, confirming the stylistic choices of the 2019-2020 collection in the pursuit of increasingly sophisticated lavishness consisting of bold lines, precious details and gem features.
